All in Portraits

Mt. Pleasant, NC, Farm Engagement // John+Abby

Chickens, dogs, fields, a pond, canoe, and a very happy couple. We loved getting to know John and Abby better during their engagement shoot the other day! Abby and John met in college at App State, and they love the outdoors and anything adventurous. They didn't even mind when we asked them to get in a canoe at the end of the shoot so we could grab some cool drone shots!

California Adventures // Travel

The steep cliffs, thundering waves, powerful wind, and blinding sun created a view that felt like a scene from a different country. And yet, we were in California, exploring Highway 1. I've always wanted to see a coast bordered by cliffs and massive rocks scattered on the shoreline. This was the highlight to our trip. If you don't read this full post, you're going to want to scroll to the bottom to see the drone footage of the California landscape. Most amazing footage Jon has taken!

Charlotte, NC, Wedding // Bobby+Amy

Bobby and Amy shared a First Touch moment before the ceremony. It was the sweetest moment as they prayed for their marriage and prepared their hearts for each other. If a couple isn't doing a First Look, we HIGHLY recommend a First Touch! So, so sweet.

Congratulations on your marriage! We were thrilled to be a part of your wedding day. God blessed the day with PERFECT weather, leaves on the trees, and colorful flowers. We're grateful for the elderly lady who let us take some of the formal portraits in her yard. :)

Jenna, UNC Charlotte // Senior

A big shout out to Jenna, a senior at UNC Charlotte, who is graduating this May with a degree in Piano Performance and a minor in Children's Literature! If you've been following us for a while, you'll know that I (Jennifer) and my siblings attended UNCC, and we all studied music as a minor. It was special to be back on campus for her senior shoot, and to attend her senior recital!

The Dairy Barn Wedding, Fort Mill, SC // Frank+Chloe

2017 has gotten off to a wonderful start! Frank and Chloe got married at the Dairy Barn in Fort Mill on February 4th. If anyone remembers, it was is the 70s the week leading up to the wedding, but it was a chilly 40 degrees on that Saturday! Sometimes the cold will turn noses and cheeks red while shoulders stiffen from the shivers. Thankfully, that wasn't the case with this gang! They all stayed warm together (with maybe a little wedding adrenaline) and we made some magic! We love the winter feel from these photos - gorgeous light + happy people = perfection!

Mountainside Lake James Family Session // Gurley Family

It's finally Fall, and we couldn't be more excited! We kicked October 1st off with one of the sweetest family sessions to date! Their mountain vacation home is nestled in a wooded lot on the beautiful Lake James in Morganton, NC. A photoshoot in the mountains definitely calls for some hiking! They recommended some awesome hiking trails which we enjoyed before heading over to their home.

Enjoy these sweet photos! And we think you'll especially enjoy meeting their adorable 1.5 year old Labradoodle, Honey Bee [or HB for short :)].

Peninsula Yacht Club Wedding, Charlotte, NC // William+Lauren

Navy blue, GOLD, and BLUSH. Can it get any better than that?! When Lauren and Will described their style to us, they used words like Classic, Timeless, and Romantic.

During our first meeting in Panera back in April, we four hit it off immediately! Mutual friends, a love of adventure, and Arizona travels. Will and Lauren are such a fun and loving couple. We have enjoyed every moment with them and shared their excitement for the wedding!

Their classic lakeside wedding theme with a twist of nautical flair was beautifully done, and Lauren did most of the projects and decor herself! Want to guess how they entered their reception?

ON A BOAT.

Monroe, NC, Engagement // Bobby+Amy

The golden light, dynamic shadows, tall grass, and towering pine trees were just a plus to capturing Amy and Bobby for their sweet engagement session! Amy and I [Jennifer] met back in 2005 when we were serving together in Child Evangelism Fellowship [CEF]. CEF was the ministry that dramatically changed my life as I learned more of the depths of the Gospel and how to share it clearly with others. Amy was always so much fun to teach with, and we all learned a lot from her since she was more seasoned than the rest of us!

Charlotte, NC, Engagement // Eric+Mindy

We are so excited to share the engagement photos of this sweet couple! Jon grew up with Mindy's family in Missouri, so it was definitely very special for us to be a part of this fun time in their lives. Eric lives about 1.5 hours from us, close to the mountains. Mindy often braved the long drive to visit Eric [it took us 18 hours to get home from MO a few weeks ago, but it really should be more like 12 or 13...] while Eric periodically flew to see her and her family. Here is a little bit on how they met!
