Peninsula Yacht Club Wedding, Charlotte, NC // William+Lauren
Navy blue, GOLD, and BLUSH. Can it get any better than that?! When Lauren and Will described their style to us, they used words like Classic, Timeless, and Romantic.
During our first meeting in Panera back in April, we four hit it off immediately! Mutual friends, a love of adventure, and Arizona travels. Will and Lauren are such a fun and loving couple. We have enjoyed every moment with them and shared their excitement for the wedding!
Their classic lakeside wedding theme with a twist of nautical flair was beautifully done, and Lauren did most of the projects and decor herself! Want to guess how they entered their reception?
ON A BOAT.

Something...
Old: Veil is my aunt's veil, 40 years old! Also, pearl bracelet is William's maternal grandmother's.
New: Dress
Borrowed: Necklace is my mom's original engagement ring stone. (My mom lost the stone about 10 years ago, but she found it a couple of months later after she had already bought a new engagement ring... so she put it into a necklace!)
Blue: Bow on garter is blue and my perfume is called "Light Blue" by Dolce and Gabbana (Will's favorite scent on me!)
The sweetest first look! We love it when couples opt for a first look - it gives so much extra time for Bride+Groom photos and some very special moments prior to the ceremony.
After taking our time with the first look, we headed to some trees where we could find some pretty light and shade - it was 90 degrees! Looking at how fabulous everyone looks, you'd never know how hot it was.
And the ceremony begins! We have to say, their musicians did a superb job. The string trio with occasional piano accompaniment was beautiful, and we [being musicians ourselves] really enjoyed the tasteful music with the grand acoustics of Uptown Church. For the processionals, there was the organ and a majestic recording for the Bride. *chills!* The ceremony was beautiful, very personal, worshipful, sacred, and definitely glorifying to the God Who created marriage. Everything a wedding ceremony should be!
MARRIED! Husband and Wife!
The reception was held at the Peninsula Yacht Club in Cornelius, NC. The gold, blush, cream, and navy decor with a classy nautical feel was just stunning. Will and Lauren made their dramatic entrance on a boat while all the guests awaited their arrival!
