The Morehead Inn Wedding // Brandon & Susan

The colorful fall leaves as well as the blooming roses in the front of The Morehead Inn highlight their portraits and celebrate the changing season. Brandon and Susan made our job so easy as they effortlessly posed and genuinely enjoyed each other!

It was an honor to document your wedding day and we are so thrilled for you both!

Black Tie Classic Wedding // Ryan & Marianna

The morning of the wedding was foggy and misting. While the ladies got ready in the bridal suite, a dedicated team of friends worked to create the wedding of Marianna’s dreams. Black and white with accents of deep green were scattered throughout the venue. White roses and greenery donned every table, arch, and bouquet.

Marianna and Ryan had a vision for their wedding, and seeing it come to life was thrilling! Their taste is classy, timeless, and romantic.

Queen's University Engagement Session // Ryan & Marianna

I’ve been taking Marianna’s photos since she was very little — back when I was playing around with a camera and didn’t know much of what I was doing. She was always an adorable and willing model! There’s almost a 13 year age gap between us, and I’ve treasured being her older sister and “pretend mom” all of these years. I’ve documented her birthdays, graduations, relationship with Ryan, and now their ENGAGEMENT!

Sun Valley, NC, Senior // Kailen

Kailen was an absolute natural in front of the camera and rocked her senior portraits! You wouldn’t even know she was allergic to the grass I asked her to sit in. She’s a trooper!

Senior sessions are truly so fun and special — this season is a pivotal point in life, and I love being able to capture the life, energy, and excitement that these students have.

The Venue at Talbert Pointe Wedding // Mike & Ana

Mike is a friend and coworker, and it was a pleasure to be a part of his and Ana’s wedding day. The original plan included a different location with an outdoor ceremony. In typical North Carolina fashion, and what seemed like 14 out of 15 weekends of rain, the whole event was switched to indoors.

We took advantage of the brief opportunity to take some outdoor portraits during the light mist. Mike and Ana were easy going and adventurous enough to venture outside and created some fun, memorable, and timeless portraits!

The Farmstead Wedding // Jonathan & Bethany

The Gospel was shared, the wedding party wore comfortable (and fun!) Vans shoes, the dance floor was full, they were surrounded by supportive family and friends, and this happy couple was married on this beautiful, sunny day!

It is always an honor to be a part of documenting weddings for couples who love the Lord and desire to honor Him with their relationship and marriage. Jonathan and Bethany were exactly that.

We are excited for you both to experience the goodness of God through marriage as you learn to trust Him and follow Him in new ways!

Hyatt Centric SouthPark Wedding // David & Dana

Pops of red, burgundy, purple, and pink were scattered throughout the florals and beautiful bridesmaid’s dresses, creating a theme that resembled a colorful, spring garden. The gloomy, wet weather forecast shifted that morning to partly cloudy and breezy. What a treat it is to venture outside and explore unsuspecting locations that create beautiful and vibrant portraits! David and Dana’s wedding day was joyous, relaxed, and beautiful at the Hyatt Centric SouthPark.

Wooded engagement session, Charlotte, NC // Dan+Laura

What a joy it is to take photos for friends as they enter such sweet, new seasons of life! Laura and I met in 2005 when we were serving at a camp in Asheville with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF). We’ve followed each other’s life happenings online throughout the last many years, and I was overjoyed to see that she was engaged! A few days later, she asked about engagement photos — and you better believe we were stoked.

Marianna, 19 Years Old // Portraits

Here you are, Babe! Your last year in your TEENS! I loved spending time with you exploring campus and taking photos that truly display your personality.

Man, growing up happens fast, and I’m grateful for your friendship.

For those who don’t know, I called Marianna my Baby for the longest time. As she got older, Baby sounded weird, so we transitioned to Babe. That name is reserved only for her, and I’ll never call Jon Babe. ;)

Marianna, 18 Years Old, High School Graduation // Portraits, Seniors

I may be a year late in posting this, but that’s ok! My sister, Marianna, graduated high school and entered UNC Charlotte last year as a mid sophomore with all the credits she earned from the community college. I’m so proud of her and all she’s learned and accomplished this year: working as a barista at Starbuck’s, excelling in her studies, educating others on politics and the sanctity of life, teaching piano students, baking/cooking, dancing, all while helping me stay in style and up to date on the current trends and vocabulary.
