But that should give you an idea of how excited David and Mandie’s friends and family were to send them off to their honeymoon after their wedding! There was rain on and off the entire day, but God was so good to clear up the weather so most of the portraits could be taken outside. We were so grateful! When we ran outside for photos, Kristen was such a pro and basically a model. She NAILED IT and was so comfortable in from of the camera! She and Matthew made our job so easy!

Austin and Rachel are married! Their wedding day, although very hot and humid (Hello, Charlotte weather!), was beautiful! God graciously held off all of the thunderstorms so that we could take all of the portraits outside! After the ceremony, there were a handful of storms surrounding Charlotte, but none of them actually hit!
Almost 3 months later...but better late than never! Marianna, one of my sisters, turned 15 on June 1st! I had hoped to take her portraits before London was born, but that didn't happen!
Year 15. Goodness. I remember doing so much growing up in that year. My prayer for you is that you would grow in every way this year...especially in safety and responsibility since you'll be on the road BEHIND THE WHEEL. Ahhh! I can't believe you're old enough to DRIVE!
It was you all along. It was your hands I’d feel inside of me, how you put them in fists by your face and move them in circles. I felt that inside. It was your elbows and knees I’d see poking out through my belly. It was your head I was referring to when I kept asking my family, “have I dropped yet?!” It was you who I prayed for, even before you were conceived. It was you who I sang to and talked to all day and night. It was you who erased my waistline and gave me nausea, the mommy waddle, every food aversion, hormonal acne, nerve pain, and explosive burps. It was you who I have loved, and love even more now that we’ve officially met in the fresh air. My precious London Joanne, you are the most beautiful gift and I love being your Mommy.
We couldn't be happier to be writing this post! Our beautiful, precious daughter has finally arrived, and we are so grateful and in love.
Becoming an AUNT, getting her ears pierced, playing soccer for the first time, taking sewing and art classes, beginning her first year as a summer missionary with CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship), and growing up way too fast! It's been a full year for my sister!
What an amazing night this was! This engagement session happened on an evening where severe summer storms suddenly appeared in the forecast and threatened our shoot. As we were looking at the radar on the way to the shoot, there was NO WAY we'd be able to take photos. But then God. He cleared it all up, gave us amazing light, a beautiful location, and gorgeous images of the sweetest couple. How amazing is that?! We just couldn't believe it!
Well, here we are at the third trimester now! We are counting down the weeks until baby girl arrives! I still can't believe I'm pregnant. It's the most amazing journey and blessing that I don't take for granted.
John and Abby are married! Their black tie formal wedding was spent surrounded by friends and family in Charlotte, NC. Abby and John wanted their photos to capture the day as it unfolded, featuring their guests and special memories rather than an abundance of portraits. So we definitely did that!
Now that Abby and John are married, we are free to share her incredible bridals at The Duke Mansion! Their wedding was a very classy black tie wedding, and her bridals reflected the same class and beauty.

These photos are so special to us since this precious baby girl is my NIECE! She's the first grand baby on both sides of the family! It has been fun being pregnant with my older sister, Lauren, and I've been learning from her labor/delivery/taking-care-of-baby stories!
