Becoming an AUNT, getting her ears pierced, playing soccer for the first time, taking sewing and art classes, beginning her first year as a summer missionary with CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship), and growing up way too fast! It's been a full year for my sister!
In Charlotte, NC, we've had a pretty hot and humid Fall. A lot of us were nervous that the leaves would turn brown and sadly fall off, giving us a dismal entrance into the winter season.
BUT NOT SO.
God provided some of the most beautiful and vibrant colors this year! We couldn't get enough of it, AND they're still on the trees! Barely, though.
We are so excited to share the engagement photos of this sweet couple! Jon grew up with Mindy's family in Missouri, so it was definitely very special for us to be a part of this fun time in their lives. Eric lives about 1.5 hours from us, close to the mountains. Mindy often braved the long drive to visit Eric [it took us 18 hours to get home from MO a few weeks ago, but it really should be more like 12 or 13...] while Eric periodically flew to see her and her family. Here is a little bit on how they met!
Meet Marianna! She is the 5th of 6 children in my family. Marianna has been my good friend ever since she was born - actually, even before birth - more like when we found out Mom was pregnant. I had a special attachment with Marianna from the very beginning. So many prayers were prayed on her behalf. I was probably more cautious and paranoid than my mom!
Meet my youngest sister, Missy! I was 15 and a half when she was born. She came just 3 years after Marianna [who is now 13! Her birthday photos are next!]. Missy and I are very close, and it has been so much fun to not only watch her grow up, but also to be a part of her life.
I love it when a session with a family turns into a great friendship. Such is the case with the wonderful Smith family! So much fun doing another shoot with them, and taking some special pictures for Miller's 1st Birthday! Wonderful to have Mrs. Smith's parents with us, they are celebrating their 51st Anniversary!
